The Supervisory Board

Chairman of the board of directors is Prof. Dr. h. c. Lothar Späth (middle). The former premier minister of Baden Württemberg is also chairman of the German wing of the investment bankers Merrill Lynch, and was managing director of Jenoptik AG, in Jena, from 1991 to 2003. 

Dr. Karl Schnirel (left) (vice chairman of the board of directors) looks back on a top managerial career in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. His most recent engagement was as global CIO at Roche Pharmaceuticals. He advises international concerns on questions of company strategies and planning.

Prof. Dr. Kai Furmans (right) (member of the board of directors) is director of the Instituts für Fördertechnik and Logistiksysteme (Institute of Conveying Technology and Logistic Systems) at Karlsruhe University, and is an accepted authority on Lean Management processes.
